Guidance & Counselling
I am very pleased to take on the role of Secondary Guidance Counselor, a position in school I feel already falls under my umbrella. Many of you will already know me as Secondary’s ‘Dean of Students’.
This will be my fifth year here as the Dean, a job with many different areas and responsibilities within the Secondary School. I started here at The BIS as head of our growing PE department for three years, after that a one year short travel break and then again re- joining the BIS community as PE teacher/Dean of Students.
As stated in our code of conduct all our students should have the right to be valued and have the responsibility to listen to and respect others. Our students should feel confident and comfortable to approach any member of staff and be able to talk. I strongly believe that all our The BIS teachers are capable of helping and giving great advice where needed. My room door is always open and I can honestly say that our Secondary students know this.
